Complete Star Descent (2) Mission 1, 7th Airborne Squad walkthrough for Goddess of Victory: Nikke. Learn how to use Combo Attacks, Perfect Parries, and Beta Skills.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Follow Tachy to the Rendezvous Point.
  2. 2
Use Combo Attack strings with □ for quick attacks and △ for strong attacks. The strong attack's initial wide swing can be canceled to repeat by using the Guard ability (L1 button).
  3. 3
Engage the Beholders. Use two careful Perfect Parries (guard with L1 at the right time) to down them.
  4. 4
Execute a brutal punish with Retribution (△) when a Beholder is off balance (indicated by two balance icons: ◆◆).
  5. 5
Successfully parrying or striking enemies charges Beta Energy (BE), which can be spent on Beta Skills. Use Triplet (L1 + △) to stop foes directly in front of you.
  6. 6
Use your Rush attack (Hold △) which has a cooldown, to engage enemies when locked on with R3 or to escape when facing away from an opponent.
  7. 7
Use Slash (L1 + △) to strike enemies surrounding EVE.
  8. 8
Fight the Brute (Elite Naytiba) with nine shield bars (◆x9). Block or parry most of its attacks, including Knuckle drag punch, single punch, double swing punch, haymaker, back swing punch, and triple swing.
  9. 9
Evade attacks like the Brute's Double Crush, which are signposted when the enemy flashes yellow.
  10. 10
After defeating the Brute, an Alpha Naytiba appears, disarms Tachy, and forces a retreat.
Tips
  • The strong attack's initial wide slash can be canceled to repeat by using the Guard ability (L1 button).
  • Perfect Parries (L1 to guard at the right time) are effective against Beholders.
  • Beta Skills can brute force through enemy attacks.
  • Rush attack (Hold △) has a cooldown but is useful for engaging or escaping.
  • The Brute is an Elite Naytiba and takes more punishment than peers.
  • Most of the Brute's attacks can be blocked or parried.
  • Some of the Brute's attacks, like Double Crush, must be evaded when the enemy flashes yellow.
