Defensive Items

Smite defensive items: physical/magical protection, health, aura effects, and counter-building strategies.

Defensive items are high-stakes for Guardians, Warriors, and sometimes even damage dealers who need to survive burst. They provide physical protection, magical protection, and health. Key items include Breastplate of Valor (physical prot/CDR), Spirit Robe (mixed prot/CC reduction), Sovereignty (physical prot aura), and Heartward Amulet (magical prot aura). Counter-building with defensive items is essential; if the enemy ADC is strong, build physical defense. If their Mage is dominating, build magical defense.
