After opening the Prison Egg, you will automatically proceed right, entering Carnival Night Zone.

EggRobo will drill two spiked chains in random directions.

EggRobo then moves his machine through the first spiked chain and then the other one.

This is your opportunity to hit him.

Tips

EggRobo can launch spiked chains from anywhere on the screen, making them difficult to avoid.
Debris that falls when EggRobo drills will not hurt you, but the spikes themselves can, so be watchful.
Positioning Knuckles in the center of the screen is recommended, as EggRobo rarely drills there.
When attacking EggRobo, be careful not to touch his thrusters by mistake, unless you have a Flame Shield.
