1.) Introduction
Introduction to the Bayonetta Xbox 360 guide, covering the action game and its collectibles like Broken Witch Hearts and Broken Moon Pearls.
Bayonetta is a highly acclaimed action game for the Xbox 360, praised for its engaging gameplay that is both accessible for new players and challenging enough to remain interesting.
- Bayonetta is considered one of the best action games available.
- The game is described as a "pick up and play" title, indicating ease of access.
- Despite its accessibility, Bayonetta is not considered a pushover and offers a good level of challenge.
- This guide aims to include all collectibles, such as Broken Witch Hearts and Broken Moon Pearls, within the walkthrough or dedicated sections.
3.) Walkthrough
Follow this comprehensive Bayonetta walkthrough for the Prologue and Chapter 1: The Angel's Metropolis. Learn enemy strategies, find collectibles like Broken Witch Hearts and Moon Pearls, and master combat.
- 1Prologue (BPRO): After introductory scenes, you'll control Bayonetta and fight Affinities. These early enemies use maces, trumpets, or staffs and have predictable attacks. After the first fight, run after Enzo and double jump over an edge to face more Affinities. The Prologue concludes after defeating Affinities and executing three torture attacks within a time limit.
- 2Chapter 1: The Angel's Metropolis (BCH1):
- After a scene, instead of going through the main gates, destroy all benches in the area, including those on a second level.
- 3Once all benches are destroyed, a train will depart. Jump back to the tracks to find your first [BROKEN MOON PEARL]. Obtaining two increases the magic meter. (Note: Not available on Very Easy/Easy). You can also ride this train for 10,000 halos.
- 4Proceed through the gates. Attack a strange wall/door until it breaks.
- 5Continue and drop into a gap to find an Umbra Chest containing a key.
- 6Climb back up and defeat the Affinities using the key as a weapon.
- 7Jump over the gap and get the door. Collect the first Antonio's Document and examine the broken statue.
- 8Defeat the spawning Affinities. The statue will repair. Activate it by pressing X near it and again to initiate a sequence. Dodge lightning at the last second to run across water in Witch Time and break the wall, which becomes a platform.
- 9DO NOT ride the platform. Return to where you found the key. A portal is present – this is an Alfheim Portal.
- 10Enter the Alfheim Portal for a trial: defeat all enemies in Witch Time. This involves three waves: Affinities, Affinities with an Applaud, and two Applauds. Completing this grants your second [BROKEN MOON PEARL].
- 11Return to the lift and ride it up. You can destroy most objects for halos.
- 12Proceed down the hall to the Gates of Hell (shop). Consider buying healing items, a Witch Heart, or a Moon Pearl (each 30,000 Halos).
- 13Go down the stairs. Before proceeding, position the camera upwards to spot a balcony. Jump to it for your first [BROKEN WITCH HEART]. Collecting four increases Vitality.
- 14Jump back down and continue down the hall. Collect the second Antonio's Document.
- 15Explore the right side of the central garden to find another Umbra Chest containing your second [BROKEN WITCH HEART].
- 16Exit the area via the main path. You will be stopped to fight new enemies: Applauds (stronger Affinities with easy-to-dodge attacks) and Beloved (large, slow enemies that swing an axe horizontally or slam it down).
- Destroying all benches in Chapter 1 is necessary to access the first Broken Moon Pearl.
- The key found in Chapter 1 can be used as a weapon against early enemies.
- The statue activation sequence in Chapter 1 requires precise dodging to work with Witch Time.
- Alfheim Portals offer challenging trials for valuable rewards.
- The Gates of Hell shop is high-stakes for purchasing upgrades and healing items.
- Explore thoroughly for hidden Umbra Chests and collectibles.
- Prologue: Completion of introductory combat and torture attacks.
- Chapter 1: Access to shops, new enemies, collectibles (Broken Moon Pearls, Broken Witch Hearts, Antonio's Documents), and Alfheim Portal trials.
