This guide is here to help you master every aspect of Dokkan Battle. We'll cover everything from optimizing your daily routine and understanding character strategies to conquering the game's action-packed stages. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your approach to collecting and battling, we've got the insights you need to become a true Dokkan Master on iOS and Android.

Shenron

Learn how to summon Shenron in Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, discover all 7 Dragon Balls, and understand the wishes he grants, including inventory space, items, and awakening medals.

Just as he grants wishes in the series, so too will he grant your wishes here. Although you are restricted by the choices, so I guess he's not all powerful here.

When you first enter into the main menu you will see a Dragon Ball above the friend icon, tap it to enter the Shenron Screen. From here you can view what Dragon Balls you have gathered up from Quest and as a tip, tap on any gray slot & you will be shown where to find that particular one. It is handy, but if you proceed through Quest you will never miss a single ball, unless you skip it of course.

When all Dragon Balls have been found, Shenron will glow yellow & await your call for his summoning.

I recommend summoning him as soon as you have all 7 as the next set of Dragon Balls come usually in the next area of where you found your 7th Dragon Ball.

When he is summoned he will grant you the first set of four wishes.

Sell

Learn which Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle characters to sell for zeni and which to keep. Hercule Statues sell for up to 500,000 zeni.

The selling of characters in Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle has both advantages and disadvantages, depending on what you are selling.

Pros: Hercule Statues are valuable items that sell for between 125,000 zeni and 500,000 zeni.

Cons: Most character cards, such as those with the rarity of Normal (N) or Rare (R), sell for such a small amount that it is more beneficial to use them for training instead.

Warning: Super Rare (SR), Super Super Rare (SSR), and Ultra Rare (UR) character cards should NEVER be sold.

Tips
  • Prioritize selling Hercule Statues for a substantial zeni boost.
  • Avoid selling any character cards unless they are Hercule Statues.
  • Consider using N and R rarity cards for training your stronger characters rather than selling them for minimal zeni.

Team

Learn how to build and manage your teams in Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle. Understand team cost, character selection, and stat differences to optimize your battles.

Alright, so you want to get your team sorted in Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle? This is the place to do it! When you hop into the 'Team' section, you'll see all the teams you've put together, up to six of them. It's super handy for organizing your fighters.

Down in the bottom right corner, you'll spot a 'Change All' button. Honestly, I always use this if I'm swapping out two or more characters. It just makes things quicker and cleaner.

To actually change who's on your team, just tap on a character's portrait. If a slot is empty, you'll see a Z-icon. This takes you to the character selection screen. Pick a new fighter, and then another screen pops up showing you all the stat differences between the old and new character. Pay attention to this! Boosting your ATK and DEF is key to winning battles faster and staying alive longer.

Quick heads-up: if you leave a slot empty in your team setup, don't worry, you'll just get a generic 'Saibaman' filling in for you during battles. It's not ideal, but it means you can still go into a fight!

Now, keep an eye on the 'Team Limit' shown at the top right. Every character has a 'Team Cost,' which you can see by tapping or long-pressing their portrait to bring up their full character sheet. This limit is super important because it only goes up when you 'Rank Up' (basically, level up your player rank). You'll need this limit to increase because eventually, you'll be awakening those rare SSR characters into even stronger URs, and they chew up a lot of team cost!

Right now, the max team limit is 535. It could go up if they ever raise the player rank cap, but honestly, by the time that happens, you'll probably have your six teams filled with URs anyway. So, focus on managing that cost as you get stronger characters!
