Discover the intricacies of GSO missions in TerraTech. Learn about mission types, requirements, and strategies to excel in these crucial gameplay aspects.

The GSO (Galactic Survey Organisation) offers a variety of missions that are essential for player progression in TerraTech. These missions are typically accepted at Trading Stations and are make-or-break for earning Block Bucks, Experience, and valuable blocks.

GSO Missions Overview:

  • Striking Out: Grade 2. This is often the first GSO mission available and must be selected to unlock further missions.
  • Turret Defense: Grade 2. Completing this mission can lead to Trading Stations spawning with SCUs (Storage Containment Units).
  • Charlie Watchtower: Grade 2. This mission involves meeting a commander and destroying a watchtower.
  • SAM Site Ridge: Grade 3. A mission requiring players to deal with Surface-to-Air Missile sites.
  • Big Yellow: Grade 2. Completing this mission grants access to the GeoCorp License.
  • Race against time: Grade 3. This mission provides access to the Venture License.
  • Bird of Prey: Grade 4. Completing this mission unlocks access to the Hawkeye License.
  • Back to the Future: Grade 4. This mission grants access to the Better Future License.
  • In Search of Science: Grade 5. Completing this mission provides access to the Reticule Research License.

General Mission Mechanics:

  • Any salvage and techs provided during missions can be kept for future use.
  • Mission-spawned enemies are allied to each other but hostile to the player. This can be used to bait enemies into fighting each other.
  • Hostile techs armed with explosive bolts will activate instantly, and only the main tech needs to be destroyed if it splits.
