The Dran are a simple people driven mad with fear by the stitching of the worlds. Since this catastrophe, they have become prey for the Fae, vicious invaders from the parallel realm.

The Fae realm is characterized by magnificent castles and strongholds where nobles scheme and connive in their endless power struggles. With the collision of worlds, the Fae made a terrible discovery for the Dran. Some Fae have begun hunting the Dran, viewing their flesh as a new and exotic delicacy. Consequently, Fae hunting parties can be found in the Dran's realm, while Dran prisoners and victims litter the Fae realm.
